What is it used for?
Used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever and help ease inflammation.

How does it work?
Mefenamic acid reduces substances that cause pain and inflammation. Paracetamol helps reduce pain and fever.

How to take/use it
Use only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist, especially for children. Shake the suspension well before use and measure it with an accurate measuring device. Taking it with or after food may help reduce stomach upset. Do not take more than recommended or use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhoea, dizziness or skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol or other painkillers such as ibuprofen or aspirin. Seek medical advice before use if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, heart problems or dehydration. Avoid combining it with other paracetamol-containing or anti-inflammatory medicines unless advised. Avoid excessive alcohol. Seek urgent help for black stools, vomiting blood, breathing difficulty, facial swelling or a severe skin rash.
