Metrozox (30ml) Ofloxacin + Metronidazole + Simethicone Susp. by Csc

What is it used for?
This medicine is used when prescribed for certain bacterial or protozoal intestinal infections that may cause diarrhoea, dysentery, stomach discomfort and gas.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin and metronidazole act against certain bacteria and parasites causing intestinal infection. Simethicone helps break up gas bubbles and may relieve bloating and discomfort.

How to take/use it
Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Shake the suspension well before use and measure it with the supplied measuring device. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. Do not self-medicate for diarrhoea.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, metallic taste, headache and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours after the last dose. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney problems, seizures, heart-rhythm problems or tendon disorders. Keep antacids and supplements containing iron, calcium, magnesium or zinc separate from this medicine as advised by the doctor or pharmacist. Stop the medicine and seek medical help for tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, severe rash, breathing difficulty, or severe watery or bloody diarrhoea.
