Metrosalic Ointment (20g) Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% + Salicylic Acid 2% by Csc

What is it used for?
Used to treat certain inflamed, itchy, thickened or scaly skin conditions, including psoriasis and eczema, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Clobetasol reduces skin inflammation, redness and itching. Salicylic acid softens and removes thick scales, helping the medicine reach the affected skin.

How to take/use it
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Use it only on the affected areas and do not cover with a bandage or dressing unless directed. Wash hands after applying, unless the hands are being treated.

Common side effects
Burning, stinging, itching, irritation, dryness or redness at the application site. Prolonged or excessive use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks or changes in skin colour.

Precautions
For external use only. Avoid the eyes, face, groin, armpits and broken or infected skin unless specifically advised by a doctor. Do not use for longer or on larger areas than prescribed, as clobetasol is a very potent steroid. Stop and seek medical advice if the condition worsens or signs of infection develop. Use in children only under medical supervision.
