Composition:\
Metoprolol Tartrate 50 mg.
Uses:\
Used to treat high blood pressure, angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart), and certain fast or irregular heart rhythms. It may also be prescribed after a heart attack and for other heart-related conditions.
How to Use:\
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with or immediately after food. Swallow it with water without crushing or chewing unless advised otherwise. Take it at the same time each day. Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor.
Precautions & Warnings:\
Tell your doctor if you have asthma or other breathing problems, a slow heartbeat, low blood pressure, diabetes, circulation problems, or heart conditions. Metoprolol may mask some symptoms of low blood sugar. It may cause dizziness or tiredness, so use caution when driving or operating machinery.
Possible Side Effects:\
Common side effects include tiredness, dizziness, slow heartbeat, low blood pressure, cold hands or feet, nausea, and headache. Seek medical attention if you experience severe breathing difficulty, fainting, an unusually slow heartbeat, or a serious allergic reaction.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:\
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking metoprolol. Your doctor will determine whether it is appropriate for you.
Storage:\
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information:\
Take metoprolol regularly as prescribed. Do not stop treatment suddenly, as this may worsen heart-related symptoms and increase the risk of serious complications. If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
