What is it used for?
Used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It may help with pain caused by inflammation.

How does it work?
Paracetamol reduces pain and fever. Mefenamic acid is an anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces substances responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation.

How to take/use it
Use exactly as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than recommended or use it for longer than advised. If it is a liquid, measure the dose with a proper measuring device. Avoid taking other medicines containing paracetamol or other anti-inflammatory painkillers unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea, dizziness or drowsiness.

Precautions
Use only after medical advice if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, or if taking blood thinners. Avoid during pregnancy, especially the last 3 months, unless prescribed. Seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, breathing difficulty, facial swelling or a severe skin rash.
