Mankast LC (60 ml ) Levocetirizine 2.5 mg + Montelukast 4 mg by Csc

What is it used for?
Used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It may also be prescribed as part of treatment for allergy-related breathing symptoms.

How does it work?
Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a substance that causes allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemicals involved in allergic inflammation and airway narrowing.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor. Follow the instructions on the label, and do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. This medicine does not provide immediate relief during a sudden asthma attack.

Common side effects
Sleepiness or tiredness, headache, dry mouth, stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhoea.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or alcohol until its effects are known. Contact a doctor promptly if mood or behaviour changes, unusual dreams, anxiety, depression, irritability, or suicidal thoughts occur. Inform the doctor about kidney or liver problems, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if breathing suddenly worsens.
