What is it used for?
Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, body pain, toothache and aches associated with colds.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of chemicals in the brain that contribute to pain and fever.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Use the measuring device provided. Do not take it with other medicines containing acetaminophen or paracetamol, and do not take more than the recommended amount.

Common side effects
It is usually well tolerated when used as directed. Nausea, vomiting or skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Use only after medical advice if there is liver disease or regular alcohol use. An overdose can cause serious liver damage, even if there are no immediate symptoms. Stop use and seek medical help for signs of an allergic reaction, severe rash, or suspected overdose.
