What is it used for?
Clotrimazole dusting powder is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm and fungal infections in skin folds.
How does it work?
It prevents fungi from making an essential part of their cell membrane, which stops their growth and helps clear the infection.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply the powder to clean, dry, affected skin as directed on the pack or by a healthcare professional. Keep the area dry and wash hands before and after use. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas.
Common side effects
Mild skin irritation, burning, itching, redness or discomfort at the application site.
Precautions
Do not use if allergic to clotrimazole. Avoid applying to the eyes or swallowing it. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or a rash develops, or if the infection does not improve or becomes worse.
