Levyudi 300 Tab (10X1X15'S) Ursodeoxycholic Acid 300 Mg by RPG

What is it used for?
Ursodeoxycholic acid is used for certain liver and bile-duct conditions, including primary biliary cholangitis and some types of cholesterol gallstones. It may also be prescribed to improve bile flow in selected cholestatic liver conditions.

How does it work?
It makes bile less harmful to liver cells, improves the flow of bile and can reduce the cholesterol content of bile. This may help dissolve certain cholesterol gallstones over time.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the tablet with water, preferably with or after food if advised. Take it regularly and do not stop treatment without medical advice. Do not take antacids containing aluminium or medicines that bind bile acids at the same time unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, loose stools, stomach pain or discomfort, nausea and indigestion may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about any liver or gallbladder disease, blocked bile ducts, or frequent diarrhoea. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent diarrhoea, worsening abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or an allergic reaction occurs. Regular medical check-ups and liver tests may be needed during treatment.
