What is it used for?
Ketoconazole soap is used on the skin to help treat fungal skin infections, including infections that cause itching, scaling, redness or discoloured patches. Use it only for the condition recommended by a doctor or stated on the product label.

How does it work?
Ketoconazole stops fungi from making an essential part of their cell membrane, which helps control the fungal infection. Glycerine and olive oil help cleanse and moisturise the skin.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Wet the affected skin, apply the soap as directed on the label or by a doctor, and rinse thoroughly. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas. Wash hands after use unless the hands are being treated.

Common side effects
Mild skin irritation, burning, itching, dryness or redness may occur where it is applied.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to ketoconazole or any ingredient. Avoid applying to the eyes, inside the mouth or on severely broken skin. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or a rash develops, or if the infection does not improve. Do not share personal towels or clothing during a fungal infection.
