What is it used for?
Ketoconazole 2% is an antifungal medicine used in topical preparations to treat fungal infections of the skin and scalp. Some preparations are also used for dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis.

How does it work?
It stops fungi from making an essential part of their cell membrane, helping to clear the infection and reduce related symptoms.

How to take/use it
Use only as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Apply to the affected skin or scalp as instructed. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth, and wash hands after use unless the hands are being treated.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness or irritation at the application site.

Precautions
