Here is the medicine information for this triple combination:
Composition:
Rosuvastatin 20 mg + Aspirin 75 mg + Clopidogrel 75 mg per tablet.
Uses:
Used in selected patients who require intensive cholesterol reduction together with dual antiplatelet therapy. It may be prescribed after certain heart attacks, acute coronary syndromes, or coronary stent procedures. Rosuvastatin lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, while aspirin and clopidogrel reduce platelet aggregation and help prevent harmful blood clots.
How to Use:
Take only as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably at the same time each day. It may be taken with or after food to reduce stomach irritation. Do not stop aspirin or clopidogrel on your own, particularly after coronary stent placement, because premature discontinuation can substantially increase the risk of a serious blood clot.
Precautions & Warnings:
Aspirin plus clopidogrel significantly increases the risk of bleeding. Inform your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, previous gastrointestinal bleeding, a bleeding disorder, liver or kidney disease, or uncontrolled high blood pressure. Tell your doctor and dentist that you are taking these medicines before any surgery or dental procedure.
Rosuvastatin 20 mg is a high-intensity statin dose and can rarely cause serious muscle injury or liver problems. Seek medical attention for unexplained severe muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include easy bruising, nosebleeds, indigestion, stomach discomfort, headache, and muscle aches. Seek urgent medical attention for vomiting blood, black or bloody stools, heavy or uncontrollable bleeding, sudden severe headache, weakness or difficulty speaking, severe allergic reaction, or severe muscle pain or weakness.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
Rosuvastatin should not be used during pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Your doctor will determine the safest treatment.
Storage:
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information:
Take this combination exactly as prescribed. Do not add other aspirin-containing medicines or NSAID painkillers such as ibuprofen or diclofenac without medical advice, because they can further increase bleeding risk. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. Report unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, black stools, blood in urine, or any other signs of bleeding promptly. Regular follow-up may be required to monitor cholesterol, liver function, and cardiovascular risk.
