What is it used for?
This combination is used in people with coronary artery disease to lower cholesterol and help prevent blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. It may be prescribed after a heart attack or coronary stent procedure, as directed by a cardiologist.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin lowers harmful LDL cholesterol. Aspirin and clopidogrel reduce the ability of platelets to stick together, helping prevent harmful blood clots.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with water. Do not stop this medicine or skip doses without medical advice, especially after a stent. Do not take additional aspirin or other painkillers such as ibuprofen unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Easy bruising or bleeding, indigestion, nausea, stomach discomfort, headache, dizziness and muscle aches may occur.

Precautions
Seek urgent medical help for heavy or prolonged bleeding, black stools, vomiting blood, severe headache or weakness. Tell the doctor about a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, liver disease, kidney disease, planned surgery or dental treatment, or use of blood thinners or other medicines that increase bleeding risk. Report unexplained severe muscle pain, weakness or dark urine. Rosuvastatin is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor.
