What is it used for?
Clotrimazole 1% is an antifungal medicine used on the skin to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch and other fungal skin infections.
How does it work?
It damages the fungal cell membrane, stopping the growth and spread of the fungus.
How to take/use it
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry, affected skin as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Wash hands before and after use. For external use only.
Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, redness, itching, irritation or rash at the application site.
Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas. Do not apply to severely irritated or broken skin unless advised by a healthcare professional. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or an allergic reaction occurs, or if the infection worsens or does not improve as expected.
