What is it used for?
Used to relieve cough with mucus (phlegm), especially when it occurs with allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose or an itchy nose and throat.
How does it work?
Ambroxol helps loosen and thin mucus, making it easier to clear. Cetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms.
How to take/use it
Take only as directed on the label or by a doctor. Swallow with water and do not take more than the recommended amount. Avoid driving or operating machinery if drowsiness occurs.
Common side effects
Drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, nausea, stomach upset or diarrhoea may occur.
Precautions
Use with medical advice if there is kidney or liver disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol and be cautious with other medicines that cause drowsiness. Stop use and seek medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, a severe rash or worsening symptoms.
