What is it used for?
Used to relax narrowed airways and relieve breathing difficulty caused by bronchospasm, such as in asthma and other obstructive airway conditions.
How does it work?
It contains theophylline, a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles around the airways, helping them open and making breathing easier.
How to take/use it
This is an injectable medicine and should be given only by a doctor or trained healthcare professional. Do not inject it yourself. Use it only in the dose and manner prescribed.
Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, headache, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, tremors and fast or irregular heartbeat may occur.
Precautions
Tell the doctor about heart disease, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, seizures, liver disease or fever.
