What is it used for?
Bacillus clausii is a probiotic used to help restore the balance of beneficial bacteria in the intestine and support the management of diarrhoea, including diarrhoea associated with antibiotic use. It should be used along with adequate fluids and oral rehydration when needed.

How does it work?
It contains live Bacillus clausii spores that reach the intestine and help support a healthier balance of gut bacteria. This may help reduce the growth of harmful microorganisms.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Do not mix it with hot liquids. If taking antibiotics, follow the product or healthcare professional’s instructions on timing.

Common side effects
Usually well tolerated. Mild gas, bloating, nausea or abdominal discomfort may occur.

Precautions
Seek medical advice if diarrhoea is severe, bloody, associated with dehydration, or does not improve. People with severely weakened immunity, serious illness, or a central venous catheter should consult a doctor before using it. Stop use and seek medical help if signs of an allergic reaction occur.
