Composition:
Febuxostat 40 mg per tablet.

Uses:
Used to lower high uric acid levels in adults with gout and certain conditions associated with excess uric acid. It helps prevent the formation of uric acid crystals and reduce future gout attacks.

How to Use:
Take only as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Take it at the same time each day. Drink adequate fluids unless your doctor has advised otherwise. Do not stop treatment without medical advice, even if you feel well.

Precautions & Warnings:
Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, a history of stroke or heart attack, liver or kidney problems, or a history of serious skin reactions to medicines. Gout attacks may temporarily become more frequent when treatment is started; this does not necessarily mean the medicine is not working. Your doctor may monitor uric acid and liver function during treatment. Do not take febuxostat with azathioprine or mercaptopurine unless specifically directed by a specialist.

Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include gout flares, nausea, joint pain, rash, headache, and changes in liver function tests. Seek immediate medical attention for chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden weakness or speech difficulty, severe skin rash, blistering, facial swelling, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
Consult your doctor before using febuxostat during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It should be used during pregnancy only when specifically prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Storage:
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Febuxostat controls uric acid levels but does not provide immediate relief from an acute gout attack. Continue treatment as prescribed unless your doctor advises otherwise.
