What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of cough and cold symptoms, especially cough associated with allergy or upper respiratory irritation.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps reduce the urge to cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Do not take more than recommended or combine with other cough, cold or antihistamine medicines unless advised.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and constipation.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving, alcohol and activities requiring alertness until the effects are known. Seek medical advice before use if there is glaucoma, difficulty urinating, prostate enlargement, liver disease or breathing problems. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and check with a healthcare professional before using with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, severe allergic reaction or a persistent or worsening cough.
