What is it used for?
Used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation, including pain related to muscles, joints or arthritis. Paracetamol also helps reduce fever.

How does it work?
Etoricoxib reduces the production of substances that cause pain and inflammation. Paracetamol helps relieve pain and reduce fever through a different action.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed, with or without food, and swallow with water. Do not take more than the recommended dose or use it for longer than advised. Avoid taking other medicines containing paracetamol or anti-inflammatory painkillers unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, headache, dizziness, swelling of the feet or legs, and increased blood pressure.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, or allergy to painkillers. Avoid use during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed. Seek medical help for chest pain, breathing difficulty, severe skin reactions, black stools, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
