Ethamkem 500 (10'S) Etamsylate By Alkem

What is it used for?
Etamsylate is used to help reduce excessive bleeding, especially heavy menstrual bleeding. It may also be prescribed for certain small-vessel or capillary bleeding and to control bleeding around some medical or surgical procedures.

How does it work?
It helps improve the strength of small blood vessels and supports the early formation of a platelet plug, helping bleeding to stop. It does not replace treatment for the underlying cause of bleeding.

How to take/use it
Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Follow the prescribed dose and schedule, and do not take it for unexplained bleeding without medical advice. Seek medical attention if bleeding is heavy, persistent or keeps returning.

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach discomfort, headache and skin rash may occur. Seek medical help for signs of a serious allergic reaction or unusual worsening of symptoms.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to etamsylate. Tell the doctor about porphyria, bleeding or clotting problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding before use. Unexplained bleeding should be medically evaluated rather than treated repeatedly with this medicine.
