Esorom DSR (10x1x10) Esomeprazole 40mg (Enteric Coated) + Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release) by Csc

What is it used for?
Used to treat acidity, heartburn and acid reflux (GERD). It may also be prescribed when reflux is accompanied by nausea or vomiting.

How does it work?
Esomeprazole reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Domperidone helps improve movement of the upper digestive tract and helps control nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed. Swallow the enteric-coated/sustained-release medicine whole with water; do not crush, chew or break it. It is generally taken before food, but follow the product label or prescriber’s instructions.

Common side effects
Headache, abdominal discomfort or pain, diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, dry mouth and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Domperidone can rarely affect heart rhythm. Tell the prescriber about heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, liver disease, electrolyte problems, or any medicines being taken, especially medicines that affect heart rhythm or certain antibiotics/antifungals. Do not use without medical advice if there is gastrointestinal bleeding, blockage or perforation, or a prolactin-related tumour. Seek urgent medical help for fainting, severe dizziness or a fast or irregular heartbeat. Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
