What is it used for?
Used as a topical antiseptic to help prevent or control infection in minor cuts, wounds, scratches, burns and other superficial skin injuries.
How does it work?
Silver nitrate, chlorhexidine and chlorocresol act as antiseptics that kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the skin.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Clean and gently dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer as directed by a doctor or on the product label. Do not use more or for longer than recommended.
Common side effects
Mild stinging, burning, redness, itching or skin irritation. Allergic reactions may rarely occur.
Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes. Do not apply to large, deep or seriously infected wounds, or extensive burns, unless advised by a healthcare professional. Stop using it and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or rash occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
