What is it used for?
Eberconazole cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot and jock itch. It may also be used for other fungal infections of the skin as prescribed.
How does it work?
It stops fungi from making an essential part of their cell membrane, which prevents their growth and helps clear the infection.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected skin as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas.
Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, irritation or dryness at the application site.
Precautions
Do not use if allergic to eberconazole or any ingredient in the cream. Avoid applying to the eyes, inside the mouth, or severely broken skin. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or a rash develops. Seek medical advice if the infection worsens or does not improve as expected.
