Donpez 5 Tabs (10'S) Donepezil Hydrochloride Ip 5 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Donepezil is used to help manage symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, including memory loss, confusion and problems with thinking. It may help maintain daily functioning but does not cure the disease.

How does it work?
It increases the amount of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger involved in memory and thinking, in the brain by slowing its breakdown.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually by mouth. It may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day and do not stop treatment without medical advice. If a dose is missed or treatment is interrupted, consult a doctor before restarting.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach discomfort, dizziness, headache, tiredness, muscle cramps and sleep problems.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about slow or irregular heartbeat, fainting, stomach ulcers or bleeding, asthma or chronic lung disease, seizures, urinary problems, or planned surgery. Seek medical help for fainting, severe or persistent vomiting, black stools, chest symptoms, or a very slow heartbeat. Older adults may be more prone to dizziness and falls.
