What is it used for?
Domperidone is used to relieve nausea and vomiting. It may also help improve symptoms related to slow movement of the stomach when prescribed by a healthcare professional.

How does it work?
It blocks dopamine signals involved in nausea and vomiting and helps the upper digestive system move food through the stomach more normally.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed or as directed on the package. Do not take more than recommended or use it for longer than advised. Seek medical advice if symptoms do not improve or worsen.

Common side effects
Dry mouth, headache, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, and increased breast tenderness or milk production may occur.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice if there is a heart rhythm problem, heart disease, significant liver disease, or low potassium or magnesium levels. Tell the doctor about all medicines being used, especially medicines that affect heart rhythm or strong enzyme-inhibiting medicines. Stop taking it and seek urgent medical help for fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, seizures, or a serious allergic reaction.
