Dipflox OZ (20x10) Ofloxacin 200 mg + Ornidazole 500 mg by Csc

What is it used for?
This combination is used to treat certain bacterial and protozoal infections, especially infectious diarrhoea and dysentery, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin kills susceptible bacteria. Ornidazole acts against certain parasites and bacteria that can cause intestinal infections.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed and complete the recommended course. Swallow with water, with or without food. Do not take it at the same time as antacids or supplements containing iron, calcium, magnesium or zinc; keep a suitable time gap as advised by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not self-medicate for diarrhoea.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness and a metallic or bitter taste may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol during treatment and ask a doctor when it is safe to drink after the last dose. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent diarrhoea, tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, seizures, severe dizziness, or an irregular heartbeat occurs. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney or liver problems, seizures, heart-rhythm problems, tendon disorders, or medicines being taken. Avoid driving if dizzy or drowsy.
