What is it used for?
This combination syrup provides relief from cough and common cold symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and nasal congestion. Dextromethorphan mainly helps relieve dry cough.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan reduces the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Use the measuring device provided and do not take more than recommended. Do not combine it with other cough, cold or allergy medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and stomach discomfort. Phenylephrine may cause nervousness, palpitations or a rise in blood pressure.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving, alcohol and activities requiring alertness until its effects are known. Consult a doctor before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, an overactive thyroid, diabetes or difficulty passing urine due to an enlarged prostate. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), and check with a doctor before using it with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical advice for children, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if the cough lasts, worsens or is accompanied by breathing difficulty or high fever.
