What is it used for?
Used on the skin to treat acne, including pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
How does it work?
Benzoyl peroxide helps reduce acne-causing bacteria and removes excess dead skin that can block pores.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry acne-affected skin as directed by a doctor or the product label. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth and broken or irritated skin. Wash hands after use.
Common side effects
Dryness, redness, peeling, itching, stinging or mild burning at the application site. It may bleach hair, clothing, towels or bedding.
Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Stop using it and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or a rash develops. Use caution on sensitive skin and avoid applying other irritating skin products unless advised by a healthcare professional.
