What is it used for?
This skin medicine is used for inflamed fungal skin infections, especially when a bacterial infection may also be present. It should be used only when recommended by a doctor or pharmacist.

How does it work?
Clotrimazole kills or stops the growth of fungi. Neomycin helps fight certain bacteria, while beclomethasone reduces redness, swelling and itching.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected skin exactly as directed by the doctor or product label. Wash hands before and after use, unless treating the hands. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and inside of the nose. Do not cover the area with a bandage or tight dressing unless advised.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness or irritation may occur. Prolonged or repeated use may cause skin thinning, skin colour changes or increased sensitivity. Stop use and seek medical advice if a severe rash or allergic reaction develops.

Precautions
Use only on the area and for the duration advised. Avoid using it on the face, groin, skin folds, broken skin or large areas unless specifically prescribed. Do not use for untreated viral skin infections or without medical advice for acne. Avoid prolonged use, as the steroid may mask or worsen an infection. Seek medical advice if the infection does not improve or becomes worse.
