What is it used for?
This cream is used for certain fungal skin infections with redness, itching and inflammation, particularly when a bacterial infection may also be present. It should be used only when prescribed, as it contains a potent steroid.

How does it work?
Ketoconazole helps control fungal infection, while gentamicin helps act against susceptible bacteria. Clobetasol reduces redness, swelling and itching; the other anti-infective ingredient supports treatment of skin infection.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Wash hands before and after applying, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid the eyes, mouth and inside of the nose. Do not cover the area with a bandage or dressing unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Burning, stinging, itching, irritation, redness or dryness at the application site. Prolonged or inappropriate use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks, colour changes or increased hair growth.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice and do not use for longer than prescribed. Avoid applying to the face, groin, skin folds, broken skin or large areas unless specifically advised. Do not use for untreated viral skin infections or self-treat an undiagnosed rash. Stop and seek medical advice if the infection worsens, spreads or does not improve. Keep away from children and avoid contact with the eyes.
