What is it used for?
Used to relieve dry cough and cold- or allergy-related symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing.
How does it work?
Dextromethorphan reduces the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergy symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose.
How to take/use it
Take/use only as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Do not take more than recommended or combine with other cough, cold or allergy medicines unless advised.
Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and constipation may occur.
Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving and alcohol until its effects are known. Seek medical advice before use with antidepressants or other medicines affecting serotonin, or if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine or prostate enlargement. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them. Consult a healthcare professional for use in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
