What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of cough, blocked or runny nose, sneezing and other common cold symptoms.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps reduce the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal blockage.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Do not take more than recommended, and avoid using it with other cold or cough products containing the same ingredients.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and stomach upset. Phenylephrine may sometimes cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving, alcohol and medicines that cause sleepiness. Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, an overactive thyroid, difficulty passing urine or prostate problems. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) medicines or soon after stopping them unless advised by a doctor. Ask a doctor before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or in children. Seek medical advice if the cough persists or worsens.
