What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of cough, blocked nose, runny nose and sneezing associated with the common cold or allergy-related cold symptoms.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Take or use exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Do not take more than recommended or combine it with other cough, cold or decongestant medicines containing similar ingredients. Avoid alcohol and check before driving, as drowsiness may occur.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, nervousness, difficulty sleeping, palpitations or increased blood pressure may occur.

Precautions
Consult a healthcare professional before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, overactive thyroid, diabetes, prostate or urination problems, or liver disease. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), and check before use with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Stop use and seek medical help for severe palpitations, breathing difficulty, confusion or unusual agitation.
