Composition:
Glimepiride 1 mg + Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg + Dapagliflozin 10 mg per tablet.
Uses:
Used to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet, exercise, and other treatments do not provide adequate control. It combines three medicines that lower blood glucose through different mechanisms.
How to Use:
Take only as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet with or after food, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow it whole with water unless your doctor advises otherwise. Maintain adequate fluid intake unless advised differently. Do not stop treatment or change the dose without medical advice.
Precautions & Warnings:
Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, heart problems, low blood pressure, recurrent urinary or genital infections, or a history of diabetic ketoacidosis. Glimepiride can cause low blood sugar; symptoms may include sweating, shaking, hunger, dizziness, or confusion. Dapagliflozin can cause dehydration, low blood pressure, and genital or urinary infections. Metformin may rarely cause lactic acidosis, particularly with significant kidney impairment. Inform your doctor before major surgery, prolonged fasting, or imaging procedures using iodinated contrast.
Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, increased urination, genital yeast infection, urinary tract infection, dizziness, and low blood sugar. Seek immediate medical attention for severe or persistent low blood sugar, difficulty breathing, unusual weakness, vomiting, abdominal pain, confusion, or symptoms suggestive of diabetic ketoacidosis or lactic acidosis.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
This combination is generally not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Your doctor may recommend an alternative diabetes treatment.
Storage:
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information:
Take this medicine exactly as prescribed and follow your recommended diet and exercise plan. Monitor blood sugar regularly. If you are at risk of low blood sugar, carry a quick source of sugar and know how to manage hypoglycaemia. Maintain adequate hydration while taking dapagliflozin. Do not use this medicine to treat diabetic ketoacidosis. Seek urgent medical care for severe hypoglycaemia, ketoacidosis symptoms, or serious genital infection.
