Composition:
Dapagliflozin 10 mg per tablet.

Uses:
Used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is also used in certain patients with heart failure or chronic kidney disease to reduce the risk of worsening disease and related hospitalisation, as prescribed by a doctor.

How to Use:
Take only as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Maintain adequate fluid intake unless your doctor has advised otherwise. Do not stop treatment or change the dose without medical advice.

Precautions & Warnings:
Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, a history of diabetic ketoacidosis, recurrent urinary or genital infections, or are following a very low-carbohydrate diet. Dapagliflozin can cause dehydration, low blood pressure, and genital or urinary infections. Seek urgent medical attention for nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, unusual tiredness, difficulty breathing, or confusion, as these may be signs of diabetic ketoacidosis even if blood sugar is not very high. Inform your doctor before major surgery or prolonged fasting, as temporary interruption may be required.

Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include increased urination, thirst, genital yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and dizziness. Rare but serious effects include diabetic ketoacidosis, severe dehydration, serious genital infections, and allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention for severe weakness, vomiting, abdominal pain, breathing difficulty, fever with genital swelling or pain, or signs of a severe allergic reaction.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
Dapagliflozin is generally not recommended during pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Your doctor may recommend an alternative treatment.

Storage:
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Important Safety Information:
Take dapagliflozin exactly as prescribed. It may cause fluid loss, so maintain adequate hydration as advised. Monitor blood sugar regularly if recommended. The risk of low blood sugar is higher when dapagliflozin is used with insulin or certain other diabetes medicines. Do not use it to treat diabetic ketoacidosis. Seek urgent medical care if symptoms of ketoacidosis or a serious genital infection occur.
