What is it used for?
This cream is used on the skin for certain inflamed fungal infections, especially when a bacterial infection is also present or suspected. It should be used only when prescribed, as the strong steroid component can mask or worsen some skin infections.

How does it work?
Miconazole fights fungal growth, while neomycin helps control susceptible bacterial infections. Clobetasol is a strong steroid that reduces redness, swelling and itching.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as directed by a doctor. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas, and do not cover the area tightly unless advised. Do not use for longer or on larger areas than prescribed.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, irritation, dryness or redness may occur. Prolonged or inappropriate use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks, changes in skin colour or increased sensitivity. Neomycin may cause an allergic skin rash in some people.

Precautions
Do not use on untreated viral infections, acne or open wounds unless specifically advised. Avoid use on the face, groin, skin folds or large areas unless prescribed. Stop using it and seek medical advice if the infection worsens, spreads, or causes severe irritation or swelling. Keep away from the eyes. Children and pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should use it only on medical advice.
