What is it used for?
Paracetamol is used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, body pain, toothache and muscle aches.

It reduces the production of substances in the body that cause pain and fever.
How to take/use it
Take by mouth with water, with or without food. Follow the dose and timing stated on the pack or prescribed by a healthcare professional. Do not take more than recommended or use it with other medicines containing paracetamol.
Common side effects
Most people have no side effects. Nausea, stomach discomfort or skin rash may occasionally occur. Serious liver damage can occur with an overdose.
Precautions
Do not use if allergic to paracetamol. Seek medical advice before use if there is liver disease, regular heavy alcohol use, or use of other paracetamol-containing medicines. Do not exceed the recommended amount. Seek urgent medical help after taking too much, even if feeling well.
