What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of constipation and to help make stools easier to pass.

How does it work?
Liquid paraffin lubricates the stool, milk of magnesia draws water into the bowel, and sodium picosulfate stimulates bowel movement. Together, these actions help soften and pass stools.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth only as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Shake the suspension well before use and measure it accurately. Do not use it for prolonged periods without medical advice.

Common side effects
Abdominal cramps, loose stools or diarrhoea, bloating, nausea and stomach discomfort.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice if there is severe or unexplained abdominal pain, vomiting, suspected bowel blockage or severe dehydration. Avoid prolonged or frequent use, as it may cause dehydration or disturbances in body salts. Liquid paraffin should be used cautiously in people who have difficulty swallowing or who may accidentally inhale it. Seek medical advice if constipation persists or blood appears in the stool.
