What is it used for?
Itraconazole is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungal infections of the skin, nails, mouth, genital area and other parts of the body, as prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
It stops fungi from making ergosterol, a substance they need to build and maintain their cell membranes. This prevents the fungi from growing and helps clear the infection.

How to take/use it

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or indigestion, diarrhoea or constipation, headache, dizziness and skin rash.
