What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of dry cough, blocked or stuffy nose, runny nose and sneezing associated with the common cold or allergies.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps reduce the urge to cough. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Take or use exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Do not take more than the recommended amount, and avoid using other cough, cold or antihistamine medicines at the same time unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, headache, nervousness and difficulty sleeping. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
This medicine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving, operating machinery and alcohol until its effects are known. Seek medical advice before use in children, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, thyroid disease, diabetes, prostate enlargement or difficulty passing urine. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and check with a doctor or pharmacist before combining it with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness.
