What is it used for?
Clotrimazole 1% is an antifungal medicine used on the skin to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch and some yeast infections of the skin.

How does it work?
It damages the outer layer of fungal cells, which stops the fungus from growing and helps clear the infection.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry, affected skin as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Do not use it in the eyes or mouth.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, irritation or dryness at the application site. Stop use and seek medical advice if a severe rash or allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to severely broken or irritated skin unless advised by a healthcare professional.
