Clobikem-S Ointment (20 Gm) Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% W/W + Salicylic Acid 3% W/W By Alkem

What is it used for?
Used on the skin to reduce redness, swelling, itching and thick, scaly patches in inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Clobetasol is a very potent corticosteroid that reduces skin inflammation and itching. Salicylic acid helps soften and remove thick, scaly skin so the medicine can work more effectively.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area exactly as prescribed. Wash hands after applying, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Burning or stinging, irritation, dryness, itching and redness may occur. Prolonged or excessive use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks or changes in skin colour.

Precautions
This is a very potent steroid and should be used only on medical advice. Avoid use on the face, groin, underarms, broken skin or infected skin unless specifically directed. Do not use on large areas or for longer than prescribed. Seek medical advice if the condition worsens or shows signs of infection. Children, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should use it only after medical advice.
