What is it used for?
This combination is used to help prevent blood clots, heart attacks and strokes in people with coronary artery disease, including those who have had a heart attack or a coronary stent, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin lowers harmful LDL cholesterol and helps reduce the risk of further artery blockage. Aspirin and clopidogrel reduce the ability of platelets to form blood clots.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with water. Do not stop it suddenly, especially after a coronary stent, unless the prescribing doctor advises this. Do not take an extra dose if one is missed without medical advice.

Common side effects
Easy bruising or bleeding, indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, headache and muscle aches.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about any history of stomach ulcer, bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, or planned surgery or dental treatment. Seek urgent medical help for bleeding that does not stop, black stools, vomiting blood, severe weakness, or sudden severe muscle pain. Avoid starting painkillers or other medicines, including herbal products, without checking with a doctor or pharmacist. Rosuvastatin should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor.
