Claritech-500 (Vial) Clarithromycin 500 Mg By Protech

What is it used for?
Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, including some infections of the chest, throat, sinuses, ears and skin. It may also be used with other medicines to treat Helicobacter pylori infection, which can cause stomach ulcers. It does not work for viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
It stops susceptible bacteria from making essential proteins needed for their growth and survival.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow the tablet with water. Do not take more than prescribed or share it with others.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, indigestion, headache and an altered or unpleasant taste.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is an allergy to clarithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics, liver or kidney disease, heart rhythm problems, or a history of irregular heartbeat. Clarithromycin can interact with several medicines, including some cholesterol, blood-thinning and heart medicines, so provide a complete medicine list before use. Seek medical help for severe or persistent diarrhoea, yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe rash or swelling, breathing difficulty, or a fast or irregular heartbeat.
