What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of cough, blocked or runny nose, sneezing and other symptoms associated with common cold or allergy-related upper respiratory conditions.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps suppress coughing. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth only as directed on the label or by a healthcare professional. Measure the syrup with the supplied measuring device. Do not take more than the recommended amount or combine it with other cough, cold or decongestant medicines unless advised.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, nervousness or difficulty sleeping. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or a temporary increase in blood pressure.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and driving or operating machinery if drowsy or dizzy. Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, thyroid disease, difficulty passing urine or liver disease. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitor medicines, and check with a healthcare professional before use with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical advice for breathing difficulty, severe or persistent cough, or symptoms that do not improve.
