What is it used for?
This combination may be prescribed to support memory, thinking and other cognitive problems associated with stroke or certain neurological conditions. It should be used only on medical advice and is not a general memory booster.

How does it work?
Citicoline supports the production of substances needed for nerve-cell membranes and brain signalling. Piracetam may help support neuronal membrane function and communication between nerve cells; its exact mechanism is not fully understood.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor and swallow it with water. Do not change the dose, stop treatment suddenly or take an extra dose without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, dizziness, nervousness, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, nausea, stomach discomfort or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about kidney disease, a history of bleeding or brain haemorrhage, seizure disorders, or use of blood thinners such as warfarin or aspirin. Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney problems. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if unusual bleeding, severe agitation or worsening neurological symptoms occur.
