Cefinex + (30 ml) Cefixime 50mg by Csc

What is it used for?
Cefixime is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, such as infections of the ear, throat, airways, urinary tract and other areas, when prescribed by a doctor. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
It stops susceptible bacteria from forming their protective cell wall, which kills the bacteria and helps clear the infection.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. It may be taken with or without food. Do not share leftover antibiotics or use them for a future illness.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, indigestion and headache. Skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Do not take it if there has been a serious allergy to cefixime, other cephalosporin antibiotics or certain penicillin antibiotics. Tell the doctor about kidney problems, previous antibiotic-related diarrhoea or allergies. Seek medical help for severe or persistent diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, facial swelling or a severe skin reaction. Use only when prescribed, as unnecessary antibiotic use can lead to resistance.
