What is it used for?
Paracetamol 125 mg is used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, body pain, toothache and pain associated with colds.
How does it work?
It reduces the production of substances in the body that cause pain and fever.
How to take/use it
Use only as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use more than the recommended amount, and check other medicines to ensure they do not also contain paracetamol.
Common side effects
Paracetamol is usually well tolerated when used correctly. Nausea, stomach discomfort or skin rash may occur.
Precautions
Do not use if allergic to paracetamol. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if there is liver disease or regular alcohol use. Avoid taking it with other paracetamol-containing medicines. Taking more than recommended can cause serious liver damage; seek urgent medical help after an overdose, even if there are no symptoms.
