What is it used for?
This medicine is used to stimulate appetite and support weight gain in people with poor appetite or inadequate food intake. It should be used under medical advice, especially in children.

How does it work?
Cyproheptadine can increase appetite by blocking certain histamine and serotonin effects in the body. Tricholine citrate is included as a nutritional support ingredient.

How to take/use it
Take it only in the dose and for the duration prescribed by the doctor. It may be taken with or after food if it causes stomach discomfort. Do not take more than recommended.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, increased appetite, nausea and stomach discomfort.

Precautions
Cyproheptadine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving and alcohol until its effects are known. Tell the doctor about glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, asthma, liver disease or any other medical condition. Use in children, older adults, pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Seek medical help if excessive sleepiness, confusion or breathing difficulty occurs.
